Events in pics - Part 1



The four day annual festival of the Sheedi community reached its climax on Wednesday June 17 at the shrine of Sakhi Sultan Baba on the outskirts of Karachi. During the festival, offerings of fresh meat and sweets are made to the crocodiles. Text: Salman Siddiqui Photos: Fahim Siddiqi/White Star
As in other shrines, a variety of amulets, chains, bangles and colorful cloths can be bought from the shops near the shrine.
