The right pair of sunglasses for you..

Sunglasses are no longer a style statement, but an essential summer gear:

Finding the right sunglasses can be challenging and occasionally a distressing affair.

Dissatisfaction is rampant and sunglasses are bought come every summer only to be discarded in a forgotten corner of the closet after a couple wears. Sunglasses, just like watches can be the ultimate statement in luxury and status. With growing consumer awareness and sophistication...

Just as like its important to select an outfit that flatters your body shape, the same holds true of sunglasses.

A pair that fits your face rather than fights against it can take years off you, so apply the rules carefully to avoid costly mistakes...

If You Have an Oval Face : Frames with strong horizontal lines make a long or oval face seem wider and shorter.

A cat's-eye frame gives the illusion of curves on a long, slender face. "Oval faces pretty much carry any style and shape of frame."

If you have a heart shaped face like Reese Witherspoon, look for this...

If You Have a Square Face :A square face has a broad forehead and a wide chin. If this sounds like you, look for slightly rounded frames, which soften features. Round frames give people with strong jaw lines and angular faces 'the fullness their face is missing.'

If your face is Diamond shape : This face shape has wide or high cheekbones with a narrow forehead and chin. Oval sunglasses will soften the contour of the face, although softly curved square frames will work as well. Make sure the styles are no wider than the top of the cheekbones.

For All Face Shapes: Although oversize 'Jackie O' frames are popular, make sure the bottom of the frame does not rest on your cheek.

'Otherwise, every time you smile, your sunglasses will move up and down. Wraparound styles prevent rays from entering your eye through the side of your...

If you spend a lot of time outdoors or on the water, consider polarized shades, which minimize glare.

The most important job of sunglasses is protecting eyes from the sun's ultraviolet rays. Lenses should offer 100-percent UV protection.
