Thanks to Deepu for the post..

1) ROGER MILLA

ROGER MILLA
Cameroonian Roger Milla was one of Africa's first international football stars, but it is for his celebration that he is best remembered. Coaxed out of international retirement by the President of Cameroon, Milla took his place in the side for the 1990 World Cup. He emerged as one of the tournament's star's scoring four goals - each one celebrated with a dance around the corner post. The celebration continues to be mimicked to this day.

2) TIGER WOODS

TIGER WOODS
Seeing Tiger Woods dressed in red with his fist pumped is never a good sign for his competitors. The American golfer has a tradition of wearing red for the final round of a tournament - and when he clinches victory (which is quite often) up goes the clenched fist - marking yet another chapter in the phenomenal career of the world No 1. 3) RAFAEL NADAL
RAFAEL NADAL
The tennis powerhouse Rafael Nadal has been winning every major tournament in sight over the past couple of years. Every time the Spaniard receives his latest trophy, he has the strange habit of biting it, presumably to check it's real. RAFAEL NADAL

4) JURGEN KLINSMANN
JURGEN KLINSMANN
When Jurgen Klinsmann signed for Tottenham Hotspur in 1994, he arrived with a reputation as a diver. Added to the fact he was a part of the Germany side that knocked England out of the 1990 World Cup - he didn't get a great reception on touching down in England. He answered his critics in emphatic style, diving across the pitch to celebrate his first goal for Spurs. He endeared himself to English football fans and went on to win the 1995 Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year. JURGEN KLINSMANN

5) GARETH THOMAS
GARETH THOMAS
Over exuberant celebrations are somewhat looked down upon in rugby, but that didn't stop Welshman Gareth Thomas coining his own brouhaha on scoring a try. 'The Ayatollah' involves slapping his head, and marks as a reminder of his keen support for Cardiff City, where the Ayatollah is a popular celebration amongst fans. GARETH THOMAS

6) USAIN BOLT
USAIN BOLT
The world's fastest man, who broke the world records for the 100m, 200m and 4x100m in Beijing, became the face of the 2008 Olympic Games. Each victory (and every public appearance since) was celebrated with the 'lightning bolt' action, in reference to his name. USAIN BOLT

7) ALAN SHEARER
ALAN SHEARER
The former Newcastle and England forward's celebration wasn't particularly audacious but its simplicity was effective. With the right hand raised and the head down, Alan Shearer's celebration came to symbolise striking prowess. While fellow England internationals Peter Crouch (for 'The Robot') and Paul Gascoigne (the 'Dentist Chair') receive an honourable mention, Shearer gets onto this list for the sheer number of times he was able to perform it - having scored 260 Premier League goals. 8) FRANKIE DETTORI
FRANKIE DETTORI
Italian Frankie Dettori is one of the most successful jockey's of all time and his bubbly personality has seen him become something of a celebrity. The affection felt for the little Sardinian was only boosted by his emphatic celebration upon winning, which would see him jump out of his saddle into the air. FRANKIE DETTORI

9) BEBETO
BEBETO
Bebeto's famous 'rocking baby' celebration at the 1994 World Cup has been imitated by footballer's the world over. During Brazil's ultimately successful tournament in the US, Bebeto performed the celebration to mark the arrival of his third child, who was delivered just a few days before. BEBETO

10) TOMMIE SMITH AND JOHN CARLOS
TOMMIE SMITH AND JOHN CARLOS
The Black Panther salute performed at the 1968 Olympics is arguably the most iconic image in sport. Performed by American athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos as they stood on the podium to receive their medals - the image sent a message out to America, and indeed the world, about the Civil Rights struggles taking place in the United States.
